Protos devices support the 50X15 initiative - a global initiative founded by AMD - to help enable affordable Internet access and low-power computing capability for 50 per cent of the world's population by the year 2015. With the introduction of such cost-effective devices, the challenges of digital divide will be effectively addressed.
