Thursday, October 04, 2007:  Sweden-based EPiServer, a Web content management company, has launched its Asia Pacific business operations in Bengaluru. The Indian office will support EPiServer's global system integrators and solutions partners in Asia, the Middle East and American markets. EPiServer has gathered many customers in India including NASSCOM and the Knowledge Management Community of Bengaluru. With global solution partners like Satyam, the company is currently targeting the mid-market segment with their community and Web 2.0 functionality.
According to Mikael Runhem, founder and CTO, EPiServer AB, "In addition to this, we have established a R&D team in Bengaluru to support the development organisation in Europe and continue the expansion of our product offering into new areas."

"We see an increasing demand for advanced Web platforms such as our EPiServer CMS. Along with the Web 2.0 ideas and our own Warm Website initiative, customers like to get closer to their website visitors and serve them in new ways," informed Mikael. "Our India team will be a key factor in our strategies to enhance these possibilities."

Sunny Ghosh, who joins EPiServer India as the president added, "We know that there are more than 1,000 Web projects that are delivered to customers in Europe every day; the demand exceeds the supply when it comes to delivering these projects. We plan to narrow this gap with the help of our large Indian partners and we foresee that India will need 300 EPiServer developers in the next 18 months." To facilitate this growth, EPiServer is simultaneously offering EPiServer Training and Certification programme in India.
