Wednesday, April 09, 2008:  Motorola is organising its first MOTODEV Summit of the year at the Leela Hotel in Bengaluru, India, on 14 May 2008. Hosted by Motorola’s MOTODEV developer network, the company’s global programme for developers and independent software vendors (ISVs), the summit will offer technical expertise, practical advice and guidance for developers seeking to create their own magic in the mobile space.
MOTODEV Summit India comprises platform and technology sessions providing technical insight and in-depth perspective on all Motorola-supported platforms (including MOTOMAGX, Java ME, UIQ, Windows Mobile, AJAR, Brew and WiMAX); and tutorials offering discussions on everything a developer needs to know to design, develop, debug, deploy and distribute compelling enterprise, vertical business or consumer applications with Motorola.

The highlights of the summit include a Tech Lab which will provide developers with the opportunity to work one-on-one with MOTODEV support specialists and engineers to create some 'magic' of their own.

"We are delighted to bring MOTODEV Summit to the hub of the software developer world, India, and further strengthen our relations with developers here," said Malcolm Dawe, vice president and general manager, India and South West Asia, mobile devices, Motorola. "By providing the local development community with tools, guidance and direct access to Motorola technical experts, we are aiming to inspire and support a new wave of innovative and customised multimedia, music and location-based services applications for Motorola users in India and around the globe."

The summits are open to all software developers that are interested or involved in application development for any of Motorola's devices.
