The device provides a low typical TCR of ±0.2ppm/°C from -55°C to +125°C, +25°C ref., PCR ('ΔR due to self heating') of 5ppm at rated power, an absolute tolerance of 0.01 per cent and current noise of <-40dB. The Vishay audio resistor (VAR), built on Bulk Metal Z-foil technology, provides a combination of low noise and low inductance/capacitance.
The VAR has a load-life stability of ±0.01 per cent for 2000 hours at +70°C; a low voltage coefficient of <0.1PPM per volt; a thermal EMF of <0.05μV/°C and a resistance range of 10Ω to 100kΩ, with any value at any tolerance available through calibration. It offers a fast rise time of 1.0ns without ringing and features a non-inductive (<0.08μH), non-hot-spot design.
As per the company, the resistor offers the utmost in ESD immunity, withstanding electrostatic discharges exceeding 25kV. The resistor is available with lead (Pb)-free or tin/lead alloy terminal finishes. The new device is optimised for differential amplifiers, power supplies, and as feedback, loading and gain resistors in high-precision amplifiers, high-end speaker systems and audio circuits, transducers and high-fidelity audio amplifiers.
Samples and production quantities of the new VAR are available now. |
