Prof. Bhargab B. Bhattacharya is the recipient of the TechnoMentor award while IIT Chennai won the rolling trophy - the TechnoShield. Research scholars from IISc and IIT Chennai and IIT Kharagpur were the other winners.
Declaring the awards, Poornima Shenoy, president, ISA, said, “Research is core to the country’s technology industry. Technovation Awards promote semiconductor research by recognising the contributions of our research scholars and academics. A committee comprising of industry leaders and leading educationists have gone through a rigorous process of selection to finalise the winners.”
The Technovation awards ceremony will be held in Bengaluru on 26 June 2008. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former president of India, is to be the keynote speaker at the ceremony. |
