With this, the company is now able to provide a product ideally suited for space critical applications. High efficiency grades up to 91 per cent are a must for these galvanically isolated DC/DC-converters, and guarantees trouble free operation at ambient temperatures exceeding 60°C, without external cooling measures (packing density reaches 2.28W/cm3), says the company.
Fast and easy to clip on Heat-sinks with the corresponding fixtures can be supplied by RECOM to further increase the operating temperature range, should this be required. Simple external filtering ensures class B of EMV-standard EN-55022. The outputs are trimmable in the range +/-10 per cent of nominal output voltage - a remote ON/OFF function enables external ON/OFF switching.
The new RP30-Series are available with 2:1 inputs 9-18V, 18-36V and 36-75V as well as 4:1 input ranges 9-36V, 18-75V. Output voltages are set at 3,3V, 5V, 12V and 15V. Both series also offer dual outputs with +/-5V, +/-12V and +/-15V. The output rating is 30W, the isolation voltage 1600VDC. The casing consists of 6-sided nickel coated copper material. Homogenous epoxy-potting qualifies these converters for the most stringent temperature and vibration conditions. |
