The three-year contract will provide approved government resellers with the ability to purchase D-Link IP networking and connectivity products through the Ingram Micro GovEd Alliance Program. This will allow Ingram Micro's government resellers to easily add D-Link products to federal and state contracts. Included in the product line-up are D-Link's xStack line of managed switches and energy-efficient Green switching solutions.
D-Link Green Ethernet technology integrates power-saving features that automatically detect links and cable length and adjusts power accordingly. Incorporating the new energy-saving technology are the D-Link Web Smart 16-Port (DGS-1216T), the 24-Port (DGS-1224T) and the 48-Port (DGS-1248T) network switches.
"We're pleased to extend our reach in the government market. As an approved supplier for the Ingram Micro GovEd Alliance Program, we can have our most sought-after TAA products listed on various government contracts, making acquisition easy for procurement officers," said Keith A. Karlsen, executive vice president, D-Link Systems, Inc.
"Ingram Micro is excited about collaborating with D-Link to bring its industry-leading products to our government resellers through this programme to help them meet their requirements and respond to bids," said Bob Laclede, vice president and general manager, government and education sales, Ingram Micro. |
