"We are delighted to support the Subversion project," said David Richards, president and CEO, WANdisco. "We firmly believe that Subversion 1.5 represents an inflection point for Subversion with new features such as merge tracking that make complex parallel development processes much easier. Subversion is currently growing faster than any other source code management system, and we see this trend continuing for the foreseeable future."
Subversion 1.5 provides interactive conflict resolution, which enables users to resolve issues during the merge process. A complete history of merges is maintained, as well as annotated logs that allow users to query for available changes on different lines of source code files. Backing out changes to code is also easier thanks to the merge tracking functionality.
WANdisco’s replication technology is used by Fortune Global 1000 companies such as AT&T, Honda, NTT and Motorola to achieve high levels of performance, scalability and reliability for their distributed software development efforts, the company said. Scalability and performance are major considerations for software development organizations with large distributed teams and growing repositories of source code, issues, documentation and other software development artifacts. |
