This event, being supported by policy makers of the Government of India, will deliver practical time-tested solutions to meet the key challenges facing operators. The summit will also provide the industry and its leaders with an excellent opportunity to learn from the experiences of operators who have deployed mobile broadband around the world. The WiMAX Forum encourages the financial, educational, e-governance, health, tourism and other communities to join these operators in drawing benefit from exploring the opportunities and challenges facing the Indian market.
"We continue to revere the ministry of communications, Government of India as a global visionary and leader, and this is evidenced by its recently announced policy for BWA last month," said Ron Resnick, president, WiMAX Forum. "As a direct result, India's major operators and top vendors have firmed up their mobile strategies for delivering wireless broadband services in India."
Most recent data from WiMAX Forum reveals there are more than 407 WiMAX network deployments in 133 countries that exist around the world today, and this number continues to rapidly increase. Toward this end, the WiMAX Forum will reveal new findings on consumer demands on mobile broadband services during the WiMAX Exposition. Additionally, speakers from the Indian and international community will share their own practical deployment case studies and data and examine network planning and optimisation opportunities of deploying Mobile WiMAX.
All aspects of WiMAX networks and services around deployment, equipment, applications, business, vendors, resources and training will be covered in the Conference cum Expo. The show encourages attendees to evaluate appropriate feature sets of WiMAX devices including USB dongles, MID, PCM Express cards, Indoor Modems, WiMAX Enabled Note Books (WENB) and a host of other equipment like BS and ASN Gateways. The come and experience format of the technology showcase will highlight innovations in WiMAX devices and equipment, and will directly address business and service launch-related issues.
The 2008 WiMAX for Broadband India Expo is divided into four areas: the WiMAX India Pavilion, the Asia Pavilion, the US Pavilion and the Europe Pavilion. More than 25 exhibitors will exhibit a variety of WiMAX devices, network equipment and application systems, while some vendors will be conducting live demos.
