Nazara will distribute the content to mobile operators who, in turn, will market it. The company's partners in India include Airtel, Spice, Idea, Vodafone, BPL, Tata Indicom, Reliance India Mobile and Cellebrum.
According to Nitish Mittersain, CEO, Nazara, "We are very excited about both the opportunity presented by the mobile content industry in India and its expected growth over the next few years. There are nearly 30 crore mobile phone users in the country, out of which 91.6 lakh mobile phone users were added during the month of August alone. We expect strong demand from mobile operators and look forward to bringing fun products based on Sameera to millions of mobile phone users in the coming months."

Nazara, in which VC firm Sequoia Capital has invested, exclusively licences many brands such as Sanjay B Jummani, Sachin Tendulkar, Sehwag, M S Dhoni, Archie Comics, GM Viswanathan Anand and Stardust gossips-Images amongst others and develops mobile-content based on these brands. |
