India Set For Bigger Growth In 2010: UN

India is likely to grow by 8.3 per cent in 2010, according to a new United Nations report. The report called `Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2010', which is an annual publication of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) revealed that in 2010 India will significantly improve its economic growth, reports The Times Of India.

The phone has a Qualcomm BREW 3.1 processor, 2 MP camera, 100 MB domestic memory, Bluetooth with A2DP support, and offers GSM/UMTS/HSDPA up to 3.6 Mbps connectivity. On the seventh day of the auction, the bid for India's third-generation 3G spectrum auction rose to 63 per cent from the base of Rs 5,710 crore ($1.3 billion). By Saturday, forty rounds of bidding had been completed, reports Business Standard. A recent research report released by IC Insights, a market research firm, projects that sales of optoelectronics, sensors/actuators and discrete semiconductors are expected to reach a record high in 2010. According to the report, there will be a 27 per cent increase in
optoelectronics to reach a revenue of $23 billion. MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology within the sensors and actuators market segment is projected to grow 34 per cent to reach $ 5.6 billion. There is an overall projection for this market to rise at the rate of 33 per cent to touch $6.8 billion, reports EE Times.
