Sony Launches New Wireless Technology

Sony has recently announced a high-speed wireless technology named Milimetre-wave Intraconnect Technology, for data transfer, with which Sony products can now interchange data within themselves. The technology employs electromagnetic waves with a frequency from 30 GHz to 300 GHz, and a wavelength between 1mm and 10mm. Mozilla Warns Users Of Infected Add-ons

Mozilla on Friday pulled two programs from its Firefox browser add-on site for containing malware. Sothink Web Video Downloader 4.0 and all versions of Master Filer were found to contain Trojan horse code aimed at Windows users, a report says on CNET News. Mozilla recommends that users who suspect that they are infected by any malware use one of the following security applications to sweep and clean their computers after uninstalling the threatening add-on. The security applications are Antiy-AVL, Avast, AVG, Gdata, Ikarus, K7 AntiVirus, McAfee, Norman, VBA32. Amongst all the applications Avast and AVG are free. UK-based Anders Electronics has announced a Linux-ready ARM Cortex-A8 COM, that is, CM-T3530. The CM-T3530 is available with either TI OMAP3530 or OMAP3503 and is clocked at 600 MHz or 720 MHz, respectively. The CM-T3530 will have a 256 MB of soldered-on MDDR memory, plus an integral flash disk that can be as large as 512 MB. It will further support TFT, STN or composite displays with resolutions up to 1440 x 1050 pixels. Nvidia has announced high-performance parallel computing GPU architecture. The Tesla C2070 and C2050 are PCI Express x16 cards which can turn a Windows or Linux workstation to perform like a small cluster with up to 640 Gigaflops of performance. The devices do not run Windows or Linux directly, rather, they are designed to run C, C++, OpenCl, DirectCompute, or Fortran. The C2070 and C2050 are PCI Express Gen2 cards and include either 3GB or 6GB of onboard GDDR5 memory, respectively.
