Dave DeWalt Is New McAfee CEO

He was most recently executive vice president and president of customer operations for EMC Corporation.

Tuesday, March 06, 2007: The board of directors at McAfee, Inc. has named Dave DeWalt as CEO and president, effective from 2 April 2007. He is also expected to be appointed as a member of the company's board of directors. In the mean while, Dale Fuller, who served as McAfee's interim president and CEO, will resign his position effective 1 April 2007 and will serve as an advisor to DeWalt for a period of time to assist with the transition.
DeWalt was most recently executive vice president and president of customer operations for EMC Corporation, where he oversaw customer operations worldwide including global sales and services. In addition, he most recently managed the Documentum content management business.

Previously, he was the president of the EMC Software Group, where he oversaw business operations, product development and customer operations.

DeWalt has over 20 years in the technology industry span engineering, product management, marketing and sales management. He has a B.S. in computer science and electrical engineering from the University of Delaware.
